Their off- screen and on- screen romance ticked off so well making them one of the most preferred couple in the Kollywood industry. Taking a guess? Yes we are ofcourse talking about the handsome Surya and beautiful Jothika.

The chemistry started with 'Chududhar Anindhu' from the movie Poovellam Kettupaar. Dressed in a beautiful white salwar, Jyothika sure did steal everyone's heart including young hero Surya. This couple somehow also managed to spin a chemistry with a folk based racy number - 'Kaathadi pola yendi' from the movie Maayavi. Although the film was not a hit. The song ofcourse was well accepted. Infact the singer Pushpavanam Kuppusamy was well appreciated for the captivating singing.

Needless to say, the duo's Kaakha Kaakha established the yesteryear 'Kollywood' romance. The beautiful looks that they exchange, made both 'Ennai konjam' and 'Ondra renda' equally famous. "Uyirin Uyire' from the same movie emerged as a whooping hit too.

The couple portrayed on screen hot romance with 'Maja maja' from the movie 'Sillunu oru Kaadhal'. Although 'Munbe Vaa' emerged more famous, this song did not fail to make an impact with the love birds too.


Another classic movie of Surya and Jyothika was Perazhagan which released in the year 2004 (exactly ten years back). The ccouple were widely appreciated for their profound acting. All the songs in the movie became a hit and especially 'Kaadhalluku paliyakoodam' stole all the viewer's attention.

One can say - strating from 1999 until now, this sizzling couple have not come down an ounce with their unconditional love for each other. May the happiness continue with more films together is all we wish

First Look of SuRyA Film to be Revealed on 14 January!

 The first look poster of Surya-Lingusamy's upcoming untitled film is expected to be revealed on 14 January, as a Pongal treat for fans.

For the first time, Surya has teamed up with director Lingusamy, who is popular for his commercial flicks including "Sandakozhi", "Run", "Paiyaa" and "Vettai."The film, touted as a romantic-action entertainer, will have Samantha playing the female lead. Other cast members include Manoj Bajpai, Vidyut Jamwal and Rajpal Yadav.

The yet-to-be-titled film is produced by Lingusamy's home banner Tirupati Brothers. The latest buzz is that UTV has acquired the first copy of the Surya starrer.

The actor's film with Lingusamy went on floors in November 2013 and the shoot began from December. The film is gearing for a mid-2014 release but an official confirmation on the same is still awaited.

The film is yet to be titled, though a few names such as "Raja Bhai" and "Mannar" were doing the rounds. The Surya starrer will have music by Yuvan Shankar Raja, while cinematography will be handled by Santhosh Sivan. In a first, Sivan will be using high-end camera - "Red Dragon Digital" - for the film.

UTV acquires SuRyA-Lingusamy film

The latest buzz is that UTV has acquired the first copy of Suriya starrer untitled flick directed by Lingusamy. Samantha plays Suriya's lead pair in this film and it is touted to hit the screens during mid-2014. The first look of it will be revealed on January 14th, 2014 to coincide with the Pongal festival.
