SuRyA to start Vikram Kumar film titled 24!

Surya is all set to start his new film with Vikram Kumar in January. The film is tentatively titled 24. Vikram Kumar has done films like Alai, Yavarum Nalam in Tamil, 13B in Hindi, and Telugu Ishq and trendsetter super hit Manam. 

Surya was very impressed with Vikram’s Manam which he wanted to remake in Tamil with Karthi and his father Sivakumar. But the project did not happen, and instead Vikram has come out with a fresh script in 24.

The big news is that the film will have music by AR Rahman, camera by PS Vinod and production design by Rajeevan.  24 is said to be a Sci-fi thriller with family sentiments and humour.  The shoot of the the film produced by Surya’s 2D productions will start in January.

MaSs First Look!

Much to the excitement of Surya fans, the team ‘Masss’ has released a first look poster last night as a part of their promotion for Diwali. The picture went viral the moment it got released, and started to trend across the social networking sites. But, a section of the audience started to cut it as a copy of a famous Hollywood movie, and spread negative messages.

Well, to clarify all the doubters and those who claim it as a copy, here we go! This is a style called, mugshot, which is a unique genre, and many Hollywood movies have released pictures under this style. So, we suggest the fans of Tamil cinema to take a deep look before coloring anything as a copy.

SuRyA supports Narandra Modi !

On the 2nd of October, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the Swachch Bharat Mission appealing to the every citizen of the country to spare some time to take up cleaning their habitat. He also nominated nine people across India to take the idea forward, that includes actor Kamal Haasan, Priyanka Chopra and Salman Khan.

The latest to lend support to the idea is Surya. In a press note, he said, "Passing on wealth to children is important. Making them live clean is even more important. For Healthy India, let's make a Clean India. Join and support Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi's Swachch Bharat Mission."
