Venkat Prabhu's next is "Neradi Oliparappu" in 3D

After resounding success of Mankatha, director Venkat Prabhu is reportedly planning his next which is tentatively titled Neradi Oliparappu.

Sources say the filmmaker is planning to do the film in 3D format. Surya to team up with Venkat Prabhu?

Ajith's Mankatha has already created records across the globe. Now the big question in everyone's mind is about director Venkat Prabhu's next project. Sources say that the director may soon start his first 3D project, titled Neradi Oliparappu.

When contacted, Venkat Prabhu confirmed that he has a couple of scripts that can be made in 3D format, including Neradi Oliparappu.

There are also reports that the director may soon team up with Surya for a thriller

Surya in Venkat Prabhu’s 3D movie

After Mankatha success, director Venkat Prabhu is now planning for his next movie with Surya in the lead.

Venkat Prabhu says “Surya will be the lead in my upcoming 3D movie which is to be shot using 3D format, unlike the other 3D pictures that are shot using normal cameras and then converted to 3D format and I have zeroed in Hollywood specialists for this, who will accumulate us from the first day of shooting.”

Surya and Venkat Prabhu has long back reported about this 3D project, but as both are busy with their current projects. The discussions are still on whether to cast Surya or Karthi in the lead and so there were no advancements to the project.

The star director narrated the story to Surya and the latter was pretty impressed to play the lead. As the actor is busy with K.V.Anand’s Maatraan and Neengalum Vellalam Oru Kodi TV show, he will join with Mankatha director Venkat Prabhu once he gets free

Suriya follows Amitabh Bachchan and SRK


Following his phenomenal successes on the big screen Suriya is all set to make his foray into the small screen. He will be hosting the Tamil version of Kaun Banega Crorepati which was popularized by Bollywood superstars, Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan. His game show will be called Kodeeswaran and will be aired on Star Vijay.
It must be remembered that a similar show was hosted by Sarath Kumar and was aired on Sun TV but the show was dropped. It was said at the time that the actor's political choices had led to the show being removed but it was popular while it lasted. It would appear that Suriya has taken up a sure winner.

Suriya headed for international recognition?


Suriya's 7aum Arivu has had a successful run at the box office and the 50th day celebrations will be happening soon. The latest is that the film directed by AR Murugadoss aill be screened at various international film festivals to be held in Europe and also in some of the Asian countries like Indonesia and Thailand.

A special cut of the film has been readied to better suit the tastes of a global audience. The makers believe that 7aum Arivu will have a good showing on the festival circuit and Suriya will get international recognition.

Venkat Prabhu's next project with Suriya or Karthik?


Kollywood grapevine is abuzz that director Venkat Prabhu might wield the megaphone for a Suriya film.
Venkat Prabhu who has recently directed Ajith's Mankatha has informed that he has currently two scripts and is busy with the pre-production works.

"I have signed with Studio Green! I am working on a couple of scripts, will soon update about which one I am starting and the cast," informed Venkat Prabhu.

There is abuzz that since its Studio Green production partly owned by Suriya, he might play the lead in the film or his brother Karthik and it would be a bilingual release in Tamil and Telugu. The yet-to-be titled film will be action cum comedy entertainer. Yuvan Shankar Raja will score the tune

Suriya makes fans happy in Kerala


Suriya's fan base is constantly expanding. His latest film 7aum Arivu has done tremendous business in Kerala and there is a huge craze for him there. His fans were pleasantly surprised when he was present as a special guest at the Kerala State Awards. Kerala Chief Minister, Oommen Chandy and other ministers of state were also seen.

The audience went wild when Suriya came on stage. Director Priyadharshan, Dilip, Salim Kumar, and Kavya Madhavan were some of the celebs spotted at this event.
