Trisha to star opposite Suriya

If sources in tinsel-town are to be believed, Trisha is striking it rich in K’town! Yes, the pretty actress and the numero-uno in Tamil and Telugu who has completed a decade in the film industry has been chosen by none other than the intense filmmaker Gautham Menon for his next Dhruva Natchathiram opposite hot hunk Suriya.
Close sources to the actress confirm that Gautham did meet Trisha and narrated the script which the latter found awesome. “Actually, we need Trisha’s dates immediately. Though she has prior commitments, it was the ‘Gautham factor’ that was enough for her to give her nod for DN,” discloses a unit source. After all, it was Menon who earlier gave her the lifetime role of Jessie in the romantic blockbuster Vinnai Thaandi Varuvaaya.
If all goes well, Trisha will be teaming up with Suriya after a gap of seven years with Aaru being their last outing together. The ensemble cast of DN also has Parthepan, Simran, Sudhanshu Pandey and Radhika Sarathkumar in prominent roles. A.R. Rahman is expected to repeat his VTV magic with Gautham. The movie might start rolling from June 17.
Gautham could not be contacted despite few attempts.

"I want to act in Malayalam"

When Suriya came to Kochi for the promotion of his latest film, Singham 2, he termed the visit as a big thank you for the Malayalis who always shower him with their unconditional love. Narrating an incident that happened in Dubai, Suriya says, “I got lost while in Dubai at about 10.30 pm in a remote place and it was a Malayali family that gave me a lift in their car to my hotel."
Suriya promises that the Singham sequel would have the same emotions and feelings of the original but on a bigger, international platform. “Singham 2 will be more fierce and my character Duraisingham is not a movie cop who bashes up people but one who is rooted in reality."
Talking about Mollywood, he says, “The ideas and concepts are inspiring. In Kollywood the emphasis is more on the commercial angle but Malayalam films are rooted in reality. They move you even if it is a small film." Asked if he would be open to acting in Malayalam, Suriya smiles, “I was about to say yes to a project but things did not work out. I am looking forward to working in a Malayalam film."
Talking exclusively to DC, he spoke about the personal enrichment he had gained from the TV show Neengalum Vellalam Oru Kodi. “Every time you come across a new challenge, it enriches you and makes you a better person! I met so many contestants from different walks of life with so many problems. The only problem is that one ends up getting emotionally connected to the people and need some time to detoxify oneself. It literally shakes you up to know that there are people with so many difficulties and one should be counting one's blessings instead of cribbing about problems." Dileep is one actor who Suriya looks up to as he feels they are in the same age group and Suriya has done many remakes of Dileep's films.
Before signing off, he says, “I feel sad that I am not doing enough for parallel cinema! That is a big handicap as far as I am concerned."

Dhruva Natchathiram Shooting Start From Next Week

Director Gautham Vasudev Menon is back in action.Quite literally. For, after taking up a couple of romantic subjects in Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa and Neethane En Ponvasantham, his upcoming film —Dhruva Natchathiram — will take you into a world filled with action, which is, as he puts it, 'stylish but not brutal.'

The shooting for the movie, which will have an ensemble cast, including Parthepan, Simran, Sudhanshu Pandey, will kick start next week in the city. "I'll be roping in 12 actors other than Surya to play vital roles in it," he reveals, "We'll be shooting in Chennai, Delhi and in Kargil too." If all goes well and the audiences like the lead character, Gautham has a plan in mind. "We'll be making a series of films with Dhruv," he says.

The interesting part is that Gautham first decided to work on a film with Surya and then finalized the subject. "We discussed three scripts. They wereThuppariyum Anandhan, Ennai Nokki Paiyum Thotaand Dhruva Natchathiram, and after discussions, we finalized the third one," he reveals. Oscar-winner A R Rahman, who earlier worked with him onVinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa (VTV), will team up with him again on this one. "We've started working on the tunes, first through the internet when he was abroad. We have now finalized a tune during a session in his studio at Chennai recently." - See more at: http://www.actorsuryablog.com/2013/06/dhruva-natchathiram-shooting-start-from.html#sthash.qe4wSPft.dpuf
